A sought-after DJ & speaker, Troy was named one of the 500 Most Influential Pros in the event industry by BizBash, as well as Speaker of the Year in 2025 by NACE. He's a featured DJ on the global platform FitRadio, an elite WeddingPro educator for The Knot Worldwide, and oh yeah - he’s the owner of Carolina DJ Professionals!

Troy has traveled the country to DJ for celebrities, corporations, conferences, friends, and friends-soon-to-be. There’s almost no event he hasn’t done, and no event he doesn’t love. He’s also been the DJ for the Charlotte Checkers since 2011. A these days, there’s a good chance you’ll find him playing music at his kid’s school events too.

A professional DJ since age 16, Troy did his 1st wedding while in college at Elon University. He put his Elon degrees to use, working as a sports broadcaster & reporter for years before pursuing a career in professional golf. He mixed in some other jobs, but music & people were always his passion. Now he lives that out daily through educating our industry and helping clients celebrate even more.

The son of a teacher and coach, he's a believer in lifelong learning. He’s also a lover of acronyms, Maine lobster & road trips. When not trying to pack dance floors and brains, you'll find him building memories with his boys and not acting his age.
