10 Questions to Ask a DJ
When talking to our clients and potential clients, we always start by asking them if they have any specific questions we can answer. Some do, but so often people don't know what to ask a DJ. It's absolutely understandable because they've likely never had to hire one before, so how would they know what to ask?!
So we put together a quick list of 10 questions to ask a DJ. These are questions to help you better identify their experience, alleviate potential problems, and give insight on things most don't know...that they don't know. Start with these and then contact us for any other questions you have, even if it's questions on more questions to ask!
Do I get to pick my own music?
How much time do I get for planning & on the day of for the actual event and for setup/breakdown?
How do you handle requests?
Will you emcee the event, and how often do you talk?
What are your backup plans for illness & emergency?
How do you handle non-approved toasts, or if a toast turns bad?
Will you connect with my other vendors to make sure everyone is on the same page?
What equipment do you use?
How do you set up and transition between multiple locations (for example: ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at a wedding?)
